For a customer that supplies Mercedes with axle modules at its Beijing facility, nemetris implemented a software solution to provide end-to-end support for production and logistics processes. The solution covers all key processes at the site—from ERP integration and EDI communication with the logistics service provider to production control via a central production cockpit.

An important component is the integrated variant planning. It helps users identify exactly which module variants will be needed in the coming days at an early stage, thereby creating transparency for production planning and material flow.

Production is coordinated across several main and secondary processes. At the start of the line, information on the respective variant is exchanged via PLC; at the end of the line, the associated traceability data is exchanged. After production, the modules are transferred to the logistics service provider via a specific handover process, which handles further sequencing. The “one rack = one delivery” principle plays a central role here, enabling clean and largely automated coordination with the logistics service provider.

Technically, the solution is based on three interconnected nemetris systems: two integrated JIS systems and a WMS. Together, they handle production planning, traceability, logistics processing, and the exchange of all relevant process data.
