WE CELEBRATE 25 YEARS OF JIS EXPERTISE!
A quarter of a century is a long time. In the IT industry, it's an eternity. But in 2025, it was exactly 25 years ago that our first project with self-developed Just in Sequence software for automotive suppliers was launched.
At that time, nemetris did not yet exist; the JIS solution was developed by adicom Informatik GmbH for the Benteler site in Cologne and its customer Ford. However, some of today's nemetris employees were there from the very beginning. This laid the foundation stone. This was followed in 2001 and 2002 by projects in Camacari for Ford Brazil and in Saarlouis for Benteler, also for Ford. In 2003, the first Rhenus site used the adicom JIS solution (for Ford in Cologne and for Audi in Heilbronn).
Finally, nemetris was spun off from adicom in 2014. We took over the entire JIS business unit, including the software.
Some of the original processes are still included in our JIS solution today. And, of course, we have continuously developed many things further, especially in the context of technology and usability. Today, for example, we control the entire flow of goods with our state-of-the-art warehouse management system, our solutions also cover the entire intralogistics, communicate seamlessly with assembly systems and collect comprehensive traceability data. In addition to JIS assembly, we also support logistics service providers with their JIS processes.
We are proud of the 25-year success story of our JIS software and are excited to see what the next 25 years will bring. nemetris is ready!
