Our client supplies a wide variety of modules to Audi at its Heilbronn facility. nemetris supports the IT-based sequencing process to complement the existing logistics systems. The focus is on the digital mapping and control of sequencing processes based on customer-specific requirements, including in the areas of fuel tanks, instrument clusters, pillar trim, and headlights for the Audi A4, A6, and A8 models.

The nemetris system maps various customer-specific processes, such as the A520 bead chain and JIS call-off F000. The nemetris solution is integrated into the customer’s own logistics IT and is operated directly at the customer’s site. This allows the existing system landscape to be expanded in a targeted manner without replacing established processes.

The project has been in place since 2003 and remains in use today. Its long-term operation reflects a high level of trust and a solution that has proven its worth in day-to-day operations over the long term.

Special requirements also arise from various Audi-specific processes as well as from the cross-site approach: a single software solution supports two sites with a consistent IT concept. At the Düsseldorf site, seats are produced based on Daimler’s call-off orders. The seats are then delivered to the installation site in the exact assembly sequence. Production employees work with web-based work instructions. Due to the high variety of models, sequence assembly has been optimized in many areas, such as special pre-sequencing processes.
