The component plant in Campinas manufactures various products/assemblies (including rear axles, door beams, wheel suspensions, wishbones) for different OEMs. The project covers the control of the material flow from goods receipt, through production to goods issue. A warehouse system is used (storing and retrieving of material, supply control), which is continuously integrated in SAP. Another requirement were traceability processes for controlling production, like washing process, paint process, repack process, rework, etc. The challenge in this project was to capture the relevant production and logistics processes and its implementation. nemetris managed the solution with the latest web technology and web-based tablets and scanners were integrated to visualize the production and logistics processes. Due to the close cooperation with the customer's project team, all requirements could be specified and implemented in detail.

In this project, another product was replaced by nemetris_JIS/JIT, in combination with the in-house WMS solution. Porsche EDI was integrated, data were prepared for sequencing as well the interfaces to the customer's WMS and the existing JIS solution was replaced on a peak production. The challenge in this project was the extremely short time slot, as the replacement was managed during a long weekend.

Beijin Benz Automotive Co. Ltd. (BBAC) is a Chinese automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer - a joint venture between Daimler AG, Daimler Greater China Ltd. and Beijing Automobile Works. In this project, batch production based on a preview was to be made possible. Furthermore, support in releasing the required number of modules was required and the stock situation as well as possible delivery problems were to be pointed out. Due to the distance to the customer and the non-existing possibility to finish and deliver the suspensions in time according to the sequence call-off signal for assembly, a concept was developed to decouple the automotive supplier's production from the OEM's final production sequence.

In this process, nemetris_JIS/JIT mainly supports the logistical part with regard to scanner-guided order generation via single-variety racks, replenishment of the raw parts via nemetris_WMS and "marriage" up to data exchange via SAP to support the delivery process. The products has been integrated into an already existing production landscape and there is a flexible change within the order generation from dialogue to scanner.

In this project, we are talking about the sequence production as well as the delivery of suspensions and front end modules. The existing cooperation in the range of suspension production was expanded to the new modules (front end). Due to the flexibility of the nemetris software it was possible to transfer and integrate processes such as those used in suspension production to front end production. A special scanner-guided lamp picking process was implemented and a process for emergency orders based on preview data is also supported.

This project was set up after the SAP implementation at the customer, as this enables competent JIS logistics. Audi's vehicle-related data is incorporated, picking racks are formed and sequence chains are checked via scanner before delivery to Audi. In addition, goods receipt as well as vehicle-related and quantity-based warehousing with inventory reports to the logistics service provider's customers take place. Furthermore, vehicle-related retrieval and sequence-based checking of the picked JIS racks is carried out via the scanner process, and an alarm is sent by e-mail to the OEM in the event of stock shortages. With modern tablet solutions and web-based interfaces for the warehouse, the challenges on site can be solved very well.

The seats are pre-produced at the central location in Lemgo according to the Daimler bodyshell signal, orders are combined, production is smoothed according to the complexity of the seats and afterwords delivered to the locations in Düsseldorf and Ludwigsfelde. There an automated storage takes place in the high-bay racking. The production employees receive web-based work instructions. In this project our hardware partner was Janz Tec AG.

The nemetris JIT/JIS software supports the production of more than than 1,000 rear axles per day. In addition to the fully integrated production control,emergency storage is used to avoid short-notice production disruptions. The inventory management and the organization of the warehouse are an integral part of the JIT/JIS functionality. JIT production of rear axles, suspension struts and swivel bearings takes place at the Bratislava plant.
